Parted Magic OS package of utilities for working with hard drive-based bootable CD Linux. Allows you to perform various operations on partitions and supports a large number of file systems.
Parted Magic OS kernel uses GParted and Parted program to perform the
tasks of separation and disk maintenance with ease, with the
participation of the programs (Partimage, TestDisk, Truecrypt,
Clonezilla, G4L, SuperGrubDisk, ddrescue, etc.). An extensive collection of tools for file systems is also included.
Parted Magic supports the following formats: ext2, ext3, ext4, FAT16,
FAT32, HFS, HFS, JFS, Linux-swap, NTFS, ReiserFS, Reiser4, and XFS.
From the author I need help in testing some major changes to the Parted Magic. Includes a new file manager called SpaceFM, which replaces PCManFM-Mod. Was removed Pmount, and now I'm using udisks. There is a firewall iptables, which by default blocks all incoming traffic. Xorg is fully updated to xorg-server-1.12.1 and the latest drivers. Details, see the change log. Please report any issues on the forum or email me directly. I prefer the forum, so others can see any progress.
Parted Magic OS requires at least the i586 processor and 312 MB of RAM to operate or 175MB in "Live" mode.
