Gears of War Repack Catalyst-Group Release (PC/ENG+RUS/2007) | 4.35 GBEnglish | Platform: PC | Release: November 9, 2007 | Publisher: Microsoft | Developer: Epic Games | 4.35 GB
Genre: ActionGears
of War is a third-person shooter that places emphasis on using cover to
avoid taking damage while moving towards enemy forces. The game uses a
number of weapon archetypes, but predominately featured is the Lancer,
an assault rifle that has a mounted chainsaw bayonet that can be used to
kill foes at close range. The player can attempt an "Active Reload" of a
weapon to reload it faster and temporarily boost the damage from the
gun, but failing to perform the Active Reload correctly will cause the
gun to become momentarily jammed while the player's character fixes it.
When the player takes damage, the "Crimson Omen", a red cog representing
the player's health gauge, will fade into the screen, becoming more
defined with larger amounts of damage. The player can seek cover to
recover their health, but if they take too much damage, they will become
incapacitated. Once this occurs, a skull will fill the center void of
the omen. Depending on the game type being played, the consequences will
vary. If single-player career mode is being played, instant death will
follow. If there is a second player, they will have to revive their
fallen teammate. In multiplayer, the player will fall and be rendered
incapacitated until either revived by a teammate, executed by an enemy,
or until they "bleed out" (die from blood loss).[citation needed].
The
game features a five-act campaign that can be played alone or
co-cooperatively with one other player. The campaign focuses on Marcus
Fenix and Dominic Santiago and their efforts in the Delta Squad to wipe
out the Locust forces. The players will be joined by AI teammates that
will help fight the Locust. Certain sections of the campaign feature two
paths that can be taken as selected by the first player. If there is a
second player, their character will automatically take the other path.
Throughout the campaign, the players can find "COG tags" of fallen
comrades to collect. Players have to find a certain amount of
collectables within the five acts, normally pamphlets, manuals and other
things. An achievement is provided for finding all collectables and COG
tags in the game. The campaign can be played at three difficulty
settings in the first game. From easiest to hardest, these are "Casual",
"Hardcore" and "Insane". The "Insane" difficulty is unlocked once the
game is beaten on either the "Casual" or "Hardcore" difficulty.

How to create a local profileLocal
profile: is a offline profile that is local to the PC that created it.
Local profiles have no online connectivity, and cannot connect to LIVE,
so therefore cannot be merged with online profiles, and you will not be
able to transfer any achievements, or game saves to any other profile
that you have earned with this local profile nor can you merge two
offline ones. Achievements, and gamesaves are signed to the profiles,
and it cannot be reversed. The Local profile is the alternative option
for users being in un-supported LIVE countries/territories. It is not
recommended to use a local profile if you are in a supported region, and
have LIVE access. There is a possibility of offline profiles not
working with game updates as those updates pertain to LIVE not offline
play.
How do you create a offline profile?First search for Games for Windows Software Setup 3.5 or Games for Windows live 3.5
you will get it named gfwlivesetup.exe 70.4 MB in size - download and install it.
First
you have to open a Games for Windows LIVE game. If you automatically
sign into a profile then create profile button will not be shown. So we
have to log out of
the profile to see a different set of buttons
Now we can see the profile buttons, & you need to click the highlighted button "Create New Profile”.
In the dialogbox, scroll down to the bottom paragraph.
At
the bottom paragraph there is a hyperlink for creating a local profile.
Clicking the link will create a local profile. Name the profile &
click the done button. If you want to customize the profile, then you
can do it here. If you want to do that later, you can. Click the
highlighted button "Done”.
Save games, and profile backups:In
order to back up a local profile you will need to copy your xlive,
profile, gamesave folders, and move them to the new PC. "IF YOU DO NOT
BACK UP YOUR OFFLINE PROFILE FILES THEY WILL NOT WORK ON THE DIFFERENT
PC OFFLINE PROFILE; THEY ARE UNIQUE WHEN CREATED."
Some of the folders below are hidden files, and you will have to show them in control panel of Windows.
